Remember last post when I said that I was "sick of hating on Hillary"? That's over. Check out this unbelievable piece of fear mongering from the Clinton campaign:
Go to hell. Who do I want answering the phone? Not you. Last time you answered the phone, you approved a 3 trillion dollar, illegal, immoral, idiotic, murderfest. And to reprise your big line from last week, shame on you, Hillary. Shame on you for resorting to such Rovian fear mongering tactics. I hope you get a humiliating electoral beatdown on Tuesday.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I fail to see how a household phone ringing in the middle of the night functions as an effective visual metaphor for national security. Frankly, I felt like I was watching cutting room floor footage from a bad Neve Campbell horror movie circa 2000.
Plus, if the phone rings in the middle of the night at the White House, you know that Bill is pushing Hillary off the bed to answer it first. Or not, since they probably won't share the First Bed.
Aww... sleeping children....
National security? What? Seems like kind of a stretch.
Since I don't watch TV, this is the first Presidential campaign ad I've seen since, since... well, maybe ever. Are they all this dumb?
I dont even get the question. Who do I want answering the phone at the white house when the phone is ringing and waking up my sleeping kids and i'll have to read them another fucking story before the terrorists get them?
They're all pretty stupid, but this one is above and beyond in stupidity. Yep. If you don't vote for Hillary Clinton, the terrorists will kill your children while they're sleeping. which is worse than killing them when they're awake, apparently.
And Marshall, my guess is that they'll share the First Bed but they'll jerry rig a sheet to hang in between the two sides of the bed so they can pretend to ignore eachother.
I think the phone rang six times,
Unacceptable, if there are trying scare us with these types ads I would hope the "Red Phone" gets picked up at the very least on the 2nd ring.
Unacceptable!!

Yeah Hillary is not as good as obama.
I agree.
Now, will you please post your horrifying bachelor party experience to boston.com?

agree with joel! i just kept thinking the whole commercial "i don't care who picks up the phone just someone pick the damn thing up!" and good point on npr, 'wouldn't the white house receptionist be picking up the phone?'
and: shame on you hillary for assuming i have children. or if i did they would be safe in their beds at 3am. hells no, they'd be playing pool so they could earn their keep. y'heard.
