Expect the unexpected indeed. After a nerve-wracking evening and morning following the news about the 7.9 earthquake off the coast of Peru, friends of Dearest Cupcake got word that the fellow blogger and all around wicked awesome person is alive and well. She's been living/working/blogging in Ayacucho for the past month or so and was apparently far enough away to escape any serious damage, though they felt the earthquake. Scary stuff and very sad for the families and friends of the hundreds of people that died. We love you, DC! Come back soon.
